BEATIFIQUE.ORG offers free domain and subdomain hosting for personal sites to a few select individuals who wish to assert their creative presence online. That's right, everything is absolutely free! Read on if you are looking for a new, reliable host.
What you get

- FTP Access (sorry but no cPanel, even for domains)
- Free email account and/or forward (yourname@beatifique.org)
- Weekly backups of your files and databases
- A domain that will not be dead in a year or so -- it's registered for the next five years

What I will not host
As per the rules of my own hosting company, Kowakuteki.net, the following material are not allowed on ANY page of the site:
- Any type of illegal content such as warez
- Obscene content, pornography, gore, and nudity
- Racism, bashing harassment, harmful and malicious content
- Stolen content
- Web Proxy services / scripts
- Remote uploading scripts usage such as rapidleech
- Torrent seeding using torrentflux
- Image hosting site
- Video or media files
- Outdated scripts and software (like Cutenews, GreyMatter, PHPFanbase)
Some other guidelines
Updated June 8, 2010. Rules apply prospectively.- I prefer to have hostees closer to my own age. I'm in my mid-twenties, so if you're younger than 18, chances are you may not get accepted. I may make an exception for you if I like you, and if we have a lot in common.
- Have some webdesign experience (at least two years). I may make an exception for this if you can prove to me that you are adept at the basic principles of designing and using scripts. Do not bother applying if you know nothing about FTP, PHP, MySQL, or CGI-BIN (et cetera), or if you're a novice at running a personal site. I will not be your first web mentor who will explain everything to you step by step. I can fix the problem for you (especially if it's script-related), but I will not tolerate questions if the answers to which are written plainly on the installation instruction file. Read. Be resourceful. Know what you're doing.
- Try to update once every three (3) months. If you can't, you'll have to let me know in your application, and give me a good reason why not. (NOTE: An "update" may consist of a note on the main page that you're alive and you're not leaving the site to collect dust.)
- Make an effort to get in touch with me. Email me every once in a while. Reply to my Tweets. Comment on my tagboard. ANYTHING. Let me know you care about the person who's giving you free space.
- Let me know if you're going into hiatus, or if you want me to close your account. Don't just leave me hanging here. If I don't hear from you in eight (8) months, consider your account deleted.
- Domains are NOT ALLOWED to offer their own free hosting services. That would just be wrong, wouldn't it? I'm offering you webspace for free, but you're just going to give it away in your own name... So no, I don't think so. You can always, of course, just refer them to me.
- If you commit any three (3) infractions, you're out of my hosting wing. I will give you three warnings, after which, you're gone.
- I have the right not to accept anyone at my discretion. I'm looking for mature, creative, good-natured individuals I can get along with. So no anti-Christians, drama queens, backstabbers, thieves, and extremely negative people are welcome here.
